ABOUT
Welcome to Puffin Cottage, a Grade II listed fisherman’s cottage dating back to the early 19thC. The basement of the house was originally a fish cellar, with the back of the cottage directly open to the beach/ pressing yard (so the ceilings and doorways are quite low and stairs are steep).

The cottage has been in the same family for over 40 years. Granny first visited St Ives in the 1960s, and after falling in love with the town, she finally moved here in the 1980s, where she lived in Puffin Cottage until her death in 2020. It then underwent a full refurbishment, ready to be enjoyed by family and guests alike.

St Ives is a lovely town with a distinctive character and is blessed with a stunningly beautiful coastal setting, which offers a wide range of leisure activities for the visitor. St Ives is renowned for its community of artists, much in evidence today with a large number of galleries and studios. It is said that the artists are attracted by its unique light, something you will hopefully experience whilst here.
